Prayer in government...
As I watch the RNC opening with prayer... I remember better days when we could pray in school and the 10 commandments weren't a social issue. They pray in congress each day to start... God is trusted within our funds, but our children can not pray openly, and have issues that prevent many after school groups from meeting. The sports teams for most schools pray before, after, and during their games. At what point does the right to pray interfere with those who don't. What is so offending about prayer to some? Are they threatened by their lack of faith?

I have often wodered about that myself, for the atheist for that matter. They sure do put up a huge fuss over something they don't believe in. They claim they don't want Christian beliefs shoved on them, but yet they don't mind preventing those who do believe from worshiping as we wish.

I agree... they (atheists) can push their view on us... but we have very little leverage back as certain courts tend to protect them. I think that there will be a larger movement as the faithful are oppressed more and more. Did you realize that Palin had a week in Alaska set aside to to celebrate the Christian Faith? I think this should happen on a national level. They have a week or month set aside for almost every other group, why not Christians?

Seems only fair to me. Look at what happened to Christimas, it has been reduced to Seanson's Greetings, while every other holiday is mentioned by name, other than Easter.
Re: Prayer in government...
Oh.... seasons greeting fires me up. I celebrate Christmas and so do my kids! I thought about boycotting any store that says "seasons greetings".
